We are pleased to announce that Missy is heading back out on the road. Just days after completing her album tour of North America Missy is teaming up with Brett Dennen and Mason Jennings for a spring tour!

Starting on May 1 in Indianapolis and heading to Nashville, Portland and Salt Lake City. For a complete list of dates and venues head to the tour dates page.

Missy Higgins’ album tour of the U.S finishes up this weekend in Baltimore.

Her highly acclaimed album “ON A CLEAR NIGHT” was released in North America back in February and Missy and her band have been on the road playing to sold out crowds stateside ever since!

Missy Higgins was awarded with a special ARIA #1 Chart Award in Sydney yesterday.

Missy picked up two #1 gongs in celebration of her single “Steer” and album “On A Clear Night” both topping the charts in 2007.

Missy will be doing a special lunchtime acoustic in-store performance at Borders Books & Music in Boston on Friday March 14 at 1pm.

26th February marked the official release day of Missy’s album “On A Clear Night” (previously available online) in North American music stores.

Missy and her band launched the album in style to a sold out crowd at the El Ray Theatre (see PRESS section for glowing reviews of the show) as if that wasn’t enough for one day Missy then scooted across town to appear live on the Jimmy Kimmel show performing the songs “Where I Stood” and “Steer”. This Australia Day Triple J counted down the hottest 100 songs of 2007 in their annual Hottest 100 poll.

Missy had 2 songs make the poll with “Peachy” making it in at #51, and “Steer” in at #53.

Missy Higgins will return to the U.S. with “On A Clear Night”, due for release on February 26, 2008. Before Missy hits the road in the U.S., she will make two appearances at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, performing at a very special live-music event titled “Where Music Meets Film” celebrating the enduring connection between music and film alongside artists such as Josh Groban & Michelle Branch.

The album’s first U.S single, “Where I Stood,” has already been featured prominently on the CW’s Smallville and on the Thanksgiving edition of ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy, among others. Both shows have been pivotal in breaking new artists over recent years. .” To add to this “Where I Stood” will also be featured in the January 29th episode of TV sitcom One Tree Hill.

Missy’s music is also already receiving serious support from influential L.A. tastemaker Nic Harcourt via his “Morning Becomes Eclectic” program on KCRW. This is also helping build anticipation for the stateside release of “On A Clear Night” in February. Cities like San Francisco, San Diego, and Minneapolis have already added the track a month before release.
