Gosh, a lot has happened in the last little while hey?
If you’ve been following my Twitter or Instagram you’ll have noticed these things: I managed to cook up a little human and now he’s here in the world bursting open hearts everywhere he goes; I’ve been slowly but surely writing new songs that I’m very excited about and can’t wait to record so I can share them with you; photo-shoots and preparations of all sorts are happening for my solo shows coming up in the new year- the first I’ve done since touring preggers Sept-Oct 2014!
I recently played a short set for the Seed Fundraiser where I previewed a few new songs and shared some stories about the past year of my life, and it felt SO GOOD to be up on stage again playing (albeit without a big tummy-ledge to rest my ukulele on this time), I was tingling all over afterwards.
So these new shows next year are going to be pretty special, I think, especially because I will be playing some spectacular venues (see below). I’ll have some of my fav musos up on stage with me once again (including Zoe Hauptmann on bass, very exciting), we’ll be playing some new material as well as, of course, a bunch from my old albums.
First up, Hamer Hall, Melbourne (with Something For Kate’s Paul Dempsey, who I’ve long been a fan of, supporting!!) and Twilight at Taronga in Sydney (which my Mum in particular is very excited about). Fan pre-sales for Hamer Hall starts 9am this Wednesday (click here: ), general public on Friday 30th October, so get in quick if you want to make sure to get a ticket.
Thanks guys, hope to see your faces soon!
