Missy will be performing two songs live this Friday 17th at Darling Harbour for MTV’s Total Request Live. The show goes from 5pm – 7pm. For more info check out the MTV website.

Missy Higgins will be part of a series of intimate interviews that answers those other questions you’ve always wanted to know about your favourite artists. Screening on Channel 10 during December ‘Backstage Pass’ is hosted with humour and a typically avant-garde nature by freelancer writer and newspaper columnist Angela Pulvirenti.

You can catch the episode featuring MISSY HIGGINS on DECEMBER 22 at 2pm-3pm.

MTV will be holding the first ever Australia Music Video Awards next year and Missy has been nominated for Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist. Voting is open to everyone and can be done online at the awards website. Multiple entries are accepted and with each vote placed you will receive an automatic entry into the draw to win a double pass to the Awards on 3rd March 2005 at Luna Park in Sydney.

Allans Publishing have just released the ‘The Sound Of White’ piano, vocal and guitar folio containing all the songs from Missy’s debut album. The folio is available at sheet music retailers and will be available through www.www.missyhiggins.com within the next week.

Missy and The Waifs will be teaming up for three shows in North Queensland in January with special guest Carus. Dates/venues are as follows:

We’ve had some angry emails from people who misread a story in a Sydney newspaper yesterday. So let’s set things straight. This story started with the writer saying he wished there was more rivalry among musicians. He then listed about ten completely fabricated quotes that he WISHED various musicians said. If you read his piece carefully he did say that all the quotes were completely invented. However, if you read his story quickly (as many people did) then you might have thought Missy was dissing the legendary Powderfinger (and vice versa). Missy has never done this. If you could please pass this news along to anyone who tells you otherwise then that would be much appreciated. Thanks and please stop sending us emails about this!

Missy Higgins is heading to Northern NSW for a week of shows in mid-January.

The Melbourne based singer/songwriter is currently riding high in the Aussie charts with her acclaimed multiplatinum album “The Sound Of White”. The first single from that disc – “Scar” – recently won her an ARIA Award and the new single – “Ten Days” is out now.

Missy recently played shows in London and Auckland and is currently touring across Australia as special guest of the Finn Brothers.
