Missy kicked off her US tour with Howie day last night in Memphis and has heaps more to go throughout July and August. In other US news Missy is one of the Top 5 Most Requested CD’s for the week at KCRW Radio! Check it out at their site.

Missy has donated a track to an upcoming compilation that will raise money for environmental, health and education projects in East Timor. The compilation is called ‘Timor Leste (Freedom Rising)’ and will be released July 10th. ‘Timor Leste (Freedom Rising)’ will include Missy’s track ‘The River’ as well as tracks from other Australian and Timorese artists including John Butler, Kasey Chambers, Paul and Dan Kelly and The Cat Empire.

Allans Publishing have released an Easy Piano volume of all of the tracks from The Sound Of White. The Easy Piano volume is for those of you who enjoy playing a little piano and would like to have a go at Missy’s tracks. It’s instore now and will be available from this site very soon.

Missy has been confirmed to play the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas this September. Other artists on the bill include Coldplay, Oasis, Lucinda Williams and HEAPS more so check the site out at www.austincitylimits.com

Missy’s cover version of the Patty Griffin song ‘Moses’ is now available on the Triple J compilation ‘Like A Version’ (thru Universal). Missy’s own track ‘Casualty’ has also been included on the 16th Annual East Coast Blues and Roots Festival Compilation (thru Warner).

Missy will be touring through the US in July supporting Howie Day and Gavin DeGraw. Dates have been added to the Tour page but keep checking back as some additional one’s may be added.

In January this year Missy performed at the WAVEAID concert held in the Sydney Cricket Ground which raised over $2.3 million dollars for the Tsunami Relief Fund. This fantastic event has now been made into a must-have DVD called ‘Waveaid – The DVD’ and is available now through Virgin Music. All profits from the sale of the DVD will be going to charities assisting victims of the Tsunami Disaster.
